Join us for the first annual SECCA Slam for Art!

Tuesday, October 03, 2017

This is your chance to play a course designed by Jack Nicklaus while being surrounded by an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind contemporary art experience.

This tournament raises funds for SECCA, the most renowned contemporary art center between Washington, DC, and Atlanta.

The First Annual SECCA Slam for Art takes place during one of the most beautiful times of year in North Carolina, when the weather cools and the leaves turn vibrant colors.

The tournament is played at Salem Glen Country Club, an 18-hole championship course that has gained national acclaim, earning the prestigious ranking of four stars by Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play" and is rated as one of the best golf courses in the area, year after year.

For one day only, we transform this course with artful experiences that bring to life the work of famous artists who have exhibited at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) - artists like Keith Haring, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Alex Katz and more.

This is a traditional Captain's Choice Tournament with a shotgun start. However, from the time you tee off, until the time that you arrive at the SECCA Slam Party, you'll want to have your camera with you, along with a good set of clubs. Around every corner of the course will be visual displays, fun contests and artistic experiences that will make this the most memorable tournament that you will ever play.
