3 Projects by Christine Kirouac

Thursday, January 17, 2019 @ 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Potter Gallery

Please join us for the opening of our first solo exhibition of 2019, The Same Leaving: 3 Projects by Christine Kirouac. The inaugural exhibition of our new season is an exploration of three projects by Kirouac, a Canadian artist who creates large-scale graphite drawings and audio/video works. The works featured in this exhibition study urban and rural landscapes, including subway tunnels, the seductive and destructive nature of kudzu vines, and the overwhelming bleakness of the Northern Prairies in Canada.

The opening includes an opportunity to meet with the artist, who will be in the galleries with her work.

A cash bar and light snacks will be provided, and as always, SECCA members drink for free.
