You're invited to bring your families to make art inspired by our current exhibitions. Fun for all ages!

Saturday, January 12, 2019 @ 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Overlook Gallery

2nd Saturday @ SECCA is a free, family-oriented art event from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm on the second Saturday of every month.

This month's project is inspired by the spontaneous creativity of Lonnie Holley, the artist featured in our latest solo exhibition, Somewhere in a Dream I Got Lost. Lonnie Holley creates his work using materials that some would consider garbage or junk – and he often assembles small sculptures from whatever he finds lying around, installing them on fences and in places in his community.

We will be using found materials and everyday objects to create small sculptures that can be installed on a special fence in the SECCA galleries, or in places around your home and community.

If you have anything lying around at home that you'd like to incorporate into your sculptures, just bring it along!

Free and open to the public.
