Bring your doggo and join us on Saturday, June 16 for the first-ever Ruff Race Fundraiser 5K + Dog Run! The proceeds from this 5K and one-mile run will benefit our volunteer group, the SECCA CONNECTors, and go towards growing our nature trails and outdoor programs. This fun run boasts local vendors and food trucks, art activities, and games for the whole family – including the puppos!

As always, admission to the museum is free. Registration for the 5K and dog run is $5 for individuals and $10 per group. All race participants will receive a Ruff Race bandana and dog bag dispenser!

No pre-registration required, registration for the Ruff Race will be at the door.

For questions, please contact Alexander Brown, Head of Audience Engagement, at 336-397-2109 or alexander.brown@ncdcr.gov.

*All dogs must be leashed and display a current rabies tag.

Why is a contemporary art museum having a 5K race and a one-mile run for dogs?

Our mission is to provide the community with access to the best in contemporary art while creating thoughtful connections through music, performance, film screenings, artist talks, family-oriented activities, and countless other meaningful programs. Now, in an effort to better serve and enrich the community, we are expanding access to our 32-acre estate – which includes a lake, formal gardens, and over a mile of nature trails. There's no better way to open our grounds to the community than to have a fun nature run with some awesome doggos while raising money to support our dedicated volunteers!

Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you (and your furry little friends) for the Ruff Race!
