On Tuesday, October 23, the world's most artistic charity golf tournament will return for a second year to the fairways and greens of Salem Glen Country Club in Clemmons, NC!

Tuesday, October 23, 2018 @ 9:30 a.m.

The SECCA Slam for Art benefits the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Winston-Salem, NC. Check-in starts at 9:30 AM and is followed by a shotgun start at 11:00 AM.

This is a traditional Captain's Choice tournament. However, around every corner of the course are visual displays, fun contests and artistic experiences that bring to life the work of famous artists who have exhibited at SECCA – artists like Keith Haring, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, and more.

"SECCA is considered the most renowned contemporary art center between Washington, DC, and Atlanta," said Frank Campion, SECCA Board Member, and Tournament Co-Chair. "This is your chance to play a course designed by Jack Nicklaus while being surrounded by an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind contemporary art experience. Our goal is to raise awareness of the fact that by visiting or living in Winston-Salem, you've seen the works of many of today's most famous artists, right in your own backyard."

The tournament's biggest sponsors will return for the second year and include Biscuitville, Blanco Tackabery, Blue Moon Benefits Group, Celebrity Golf International, Dixon Golf Balls, Excalibur Direct Marketing, Feisty PR, Flow Automotive, Genuity Concepts in Marketing, Modern Automotive, Salem Plastic Surgery, Stitch Design Shop, Village Tavern and more. To sign up for hole sponsorships and teams, visit SECCAslamForArt.org.

"Funds raised via the SECCA Slam benefit the art center's exhibits, education, and community outreach programs," said Jennifer Woodward," said Jennifer Woodward, chairperson of the SECCA Board of Directors. "Every piece of oversized art was made by volunteers, and more than 75 volunteers set up the course and made operations run smoothly. This is the most memorable golf tournament that you will ever experience, so we invite golfers to play and spectators to enjoy the art on the course."

Salem Glen is located at 1000 Glen Day Drive, Clemmons, NC 27012. The tournament is limited to 128 players. Registration closes Friday, October 12, at SECCAslamForArt.org unless the tournament sells out before that date.

The tournament is looking for volunteers for the day of the event. Interested in volunteering for the SECCA Slam? Sign-up HERE
