A Dozen Dresses is a narrative photo collection created and performed by Diana Greene. Based on a dozen old dresses stashed in her attic closet, Diana created stories and photographic portraits telling the tale of remembered clothes, outfits that, no matter how lovely or ridiculous, stayed safely stored on the rack.

Each dress, each story and photograph recall an occasion or reflect a significant time. Graduation. Maternity. A mother’s funeral.

A Dozen Dresses is a multimedia work about clothes as a snapshot for remembering. Part memoir, part dream, it traverses the reverberating line where past and present meet.
