SECCA's Garden Club event series returns with local seafood and delicious cocktails inspired by the art of Jenny Fine.

Saturday, May 01, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm | Terrace

GARDEN CLUB – SECCA's outdoor event series built on the simple premise of cocktails and contemporary art – returns this May with a fun aquatic edition on the back terrace of the Hanes House! In addition to delicious cocktails by Ginger Fox Beverage inspired by Jenny Fine's exhibition (on view through May 30), SECCA is proud to host a special dinner pop-up with Forsyth Seafood.

Admission to this event is $10, with food and beverages available for purchase via credit card. Dinner will be served at two different seatings: 5pm to 6:30pm, and 7pm to 8:30pm. The bar will be open serving drinks from 5pm to 9pm, so feel free to grab a drink before and after your meal!

Prior to dinner and cocktails, come early for a special family-friendly art making event with Alabama-based contemporary artist Jenny Fine from 3pm to 4:30pm. Attendees will work with Jenny to build costumes and choreograph dances inspired by her current exhibition, Synchronized Swimmers. At the end of the program, Jenny and dancers from UNCSA will lead all of the participants in a dance procession through the SECCA grounds. This event is free and open to all ages.

Face coverings are required while waiting in line at the bar, at art-making stations, and at all times when entering SECCA's buildings.

GARDEN CLUB is sponsored by Womble Bond Dickinson. SECCA's spring membership drive is sponsored by Blanco Tackabery and First Bank.
