Food for Thought is a new performance series presented by Helen Simoneau Danse in collaboration with fellow artists Caitlyn Swett and Taryn Griggs.

Saturday, February 24, 2018 @ 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. | Overlook Gallery

Modeled on the long-running program of the same name at Danspace Project in NYC, Food for Thought is a platform to see thoughtfully curated performance and collect donations for the local Food Bank.

Admission is $5 at the door with 2 cans of food or $10 with no cans. Canned goods will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank and matched by a donation from Whole Foods Market.

The winter performance is presented in partnership with SECCA and will take place at 2 separate times in the Potter Gallery, 7 pm and 8:30 pm. Please use the main museum entrance in the historic house. A cash bar will be available beginning at 6:45 pm. Arrive early as there is limited seating and no standing room. The performance runs approximately 60mins.

The evening will be comprised of short works created by Kayla Farrish, Burr Johnson, Catherine Kirk, Dominica Greene, Donovan Reed, Maggie Segale, Nik Owens, and Kyle Filley in addition to a performance by Simoneau of her award-winning solo "the gentleness was in her hands." As dancers and collaborators of HSDanse, these artists are all choreographers in their own right having developed and performed a body of work throughout their careers. Join us to witness each of them share their own artistic voices in an intimate performance experience taking place in the round within the museum's gallery space.
