This program will present the classic story of "Peter and The Wolf," which is an adaptation of a traditional Russian folk tale set to music by the composer Sergei Proko?ev. Admission is free.

Music Carolina will perform the music with a live narrator telling the story. The group performing the music is called a woodwind quintet and has five instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn and bassoon. In addition, there is a percussionist.

Each character in the story has a particular instrument and a musical theme:

~Bird – Flute
~Duck – Oboe & English Horn
~Cat – Clarinet
~Grandfather – Bassoon
~Wolf – French Horn
~Hunters – The hunters' theme is introduced by the entire group.
~Peter – The theme for Peter is performed by all the players in the woodwind quintet.

Seating for Peter and the Wolf is first come-first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted.
